Freeze-up has

started on shallow lakes

There is snow cover on the ground, and the shallower lakes have frozen (white), or have started freezing, which can be seen in the image. Some bays on Lake Temagami have started icing up, but are not visible here.

Ice is forming (grey) in the northeast corner of Lake Timiskaming, and western and northern Lake Nipissing.
