Infrared of

freeze-up

This infrared photo shows Temagami almost completely frozen. There is isolated pockets of open water on Lake Temagami: the middle of the South Arm, and off Narrows Island, Ferguson Mountain and Sand Point. The overnight temperature of minus 30 C should take care of that.

Key

Black                  open water

Dull blue              thin ice

bright turquoise   thick ice

Thanks to Allan Eustis for the image.
