Although the changes in ice conditions from yesterday are small, today's image better reveals, through the reflection of light off the ice, existing frozen areas on lakes Temagami, Obabika, Anima Nipissing, lower Lady Evelyn, Florence, Makobe and Smoothwater.

The bigger, deeper lakes are the last to go.

On Lake Temagami, it looks ice-free from town to the Axe Narrows, Obabika Inlet, part of the Northwest Arm, Sandy Inlet, and the south end of the Southwest Arm.
