OCTOBER 15, 2013 Ottertooth adds the Beauty Lake canoe route, north of Lady Evelyn-Smoothwater Park, to its interactive map series. The route was re-surveyed this fall.
OCTOBER 10, 2013 Author Bruce Hodgins will speak at Friends of Temagami's annual general meeting on the history of recreational canoeing and youth camping in Temagami. Hodgins is a former director of Camp Wanapitei and an historian of northern history. He is the author of The Temagami Experience. FOT's president Alex Broadbent will step down after six years in office. The November 9 meeting at Smoothwater Ecolodge is open to the public.
