Moccasin-flower in the old growth This slipper orchid was photographed on the ridge above Chee-skon-abikong Lake, sacred aboriginal grounds. It takes ten years for it to produce a flower (please don't pick). The roots were used by aboriginal people in a sedative and in epilepsy medicine. |
