Break-up Watch 2013 - May 3

Obabika Lake (top) just west of the narrows, the lower Sturgeon River below Lower Goose Falls at flood stage and looking south on Lake Temagami (bottom) from Sandy Inlet. Wawiagama Lake went from half ice-covered to ice-free in two hours, Stevens reports. The wind picked up this afternoon so change is afoot.
