These photos, taken April 12, are the last images of ice, and it's all candled — the last stage before melting. There was still ice drifting off Raccoon Point on April 13, but with the brisk wind it would not have lasted the day. So we are calling ice-out as April 13, using our benchmark — Lake Temagami.

North Arm (above) between Snake Island and Witch's Point. 

West of Bear Island (below). The ice is west of Alexander Island in the center.
