Captain Ron saw more water than on December 23. Looking south (top photo) down the North Arm (Rabbitnose Island on the left, Garden Island in the background). Looking south (second photo) down the North Arm (Keewaydin on the left, ice bridge between Seal Rock and Squirrel points in the background). Looking east (third photo) down the Northeast Arm toward channel entry into town (Ferguson Point and O'Connor Island in the background). Only ice is visible. The sunset photo is looking southwest with the Bear Island community in the foreground. Water can be seen in the background to the left of Cattle Island. Although barely visible to us, Captain Ron saw a hockey game on the ice in front of Bear Island. |
