Pine pollen season 2020: June 21

The annual pine-pollen deluge when the trees seem to all agree to let go of their pollen in unison. Some years it can be so heavy that a sudden wind makes it seem like yellow rain. The photo faces southwest with Temagami Island in the background. The heaviest pollen (foreground) is on the main boat channel between the landing and North Arm. See the pollen on the same date three years ago.
