Freeze-up near as most lakes ice over

Only the deepest lakes have open areas: Lake Temagami and Lake Wanapitei, and small portions of Rabbit, Cross, and Smoothwater lakes.

On Lake Temagami — the "deep water" — only the Southwest Arm, Austin Bay, Outlet Bay, Shiningwood Bay, most of the Northeast Arm, Obabika Inlet and Sharp Rock Inlet can be seen iced over.

Thanks to Allan Eustis for assistance.
