Skimming across hard ice in the airboat

APRIL 26, 2005 — Overcast, raining, windless and 5 C. Skipper Rick Lockhart of Ket-Chun-Eny Lodge took me out for a day in the airboat. We went out around the south end of Temagami Island where there was open water, and then back around the north end of Temagami Island that is still socked in by ice. These photos are the return trip from the Mine Landing around the north end at 5 p.m.

We hit soft office throwing up shards of candled ice

Airboat leaving me at Ogama. Open water is visible around the shoreline. Our ice path is visible in front of the airboat. It is pretty quiet on the lake these days.
