Lots of floating ice at the landing and at least 8 boats. Everyone is still going around the west side Temagami Island. |

APRIL 29, 2005 — Cool again this morning. No winds, overcast and some more rain, but scattered. The ice shifted west, but knew I could get to the landing, and did. It was very calm this evening and the ice was still 6- to 8-inches thick and hard in places. — Gerry Gooderham of Ogama Island, Lake Temagami |

I rescued my family from civilization. You can see the ice is right up to my boathouse and it's slow going. |

The white stuff is thick. It took about 45 minutes to get to the landing, normally a 10-minute run. |
