Lots of floating ice at the landing and at least 8 boats. Everyone is still going around the west side Temagami Island.

APRIL 29, 2005 — Cool again this morning. No winds, overcast and some more rain, but scattered. The ice shifted west, but knew I could get to the landing, and did.

It was very calm this evening and the ice was still 6- to 8-inches thick and hard in places.

I rescued my family from civilization. You can see the ice is right up to my boathouse and it's slow going.

The white stuff is thick. It took about 45 minutes to get to the landing, normally a 10-minute run.
