The black is water. Looking south you can see my boat channel on the upper left.

   

APRIL 30, 2005 — SUNNY! No wind, but at least sun. Although it was 3 C last night, it promised to be warm. By afternoon it was 11 C with a slight south wind, but no movement.

Went to the landing by boat around 11, and it took much longer today as the ice had moved in at Wabikon, making the going tough.

I think Bear island is breaking out on the north side now.

Looking north through the trees, you can see the long strip of water from Pinto Island reaching towards Bear Island.
