Ice-out today. With little wind to help, the ice holdouts at Raccoon and Sealrock points finally went.

Ice hunters Keevil and Spencer found ice at Raccoon yesterday afternoon, but this afternoon it was gone (Sealrock Point in photo) and the lake was clear all the way down the arm. Unlike conventional break-ups, this one just slowly melted away in these unusually high temperatures and there was no ice to pile on the shore.

As they boated through the two areas where the ice flows had been, probably just hours before, they passed through the last chilling cold-air masses of winter.
