APRIL 21, 2005 — Brrrrrrrrrrr, what a change. Minus 4 C, but clear. By noon it warmed, but only to 8 C. The lake froze hard again. You can see the white in the photos. That is a sign that it is floating and hard. Not much change in the ice otherwise. It is still about 16 inches thick. I was able to walk on it this morning, but yesterday I would have been swimming. Cooler weather in the next few days and maybe, some rain. This could slow things down some, so the winds will prevail now. — Gerry Gooderham of Ogama Island, Lake Temagami |
