APRIL 22, 2005 — Cold again last night, down to minus 2 C. Not much change in the ice — very white and skim ice by the docks again. It was very candled, but floating high. I took an early walk on the ice.

The water continued to rise. By noon it was a high of 12 C and there has been some softening going on. By late afternoon it clouded over and now promises to snow tonight.
